Mana Lomi® Teachers

The certified ML teacher’s responsibility is to help each student be proficient in their Mana Lomi® work. Teachers are dedicated to helping each student evolve to their highest potential, as there is no agenda to mold a student according to the teacher’s ideas or purpose.  The teacher encourages the awakening of group consciousness, so each individual is supported in the fulfillment of his or her true potential.

The ML teacher provides a safe environment by holding sacred space to allow the opportunity to guide the student with tools beyond the subject matter of the class or workshop. The role of the teacher is to help students strengthen their sense of responsibility.  The role of the student is to help the teacher lighten that load. This dynamic is a key element in the relationship between student and teacher.  It is a connection that lightens as it strengthens.


The ML teacher certification program is among the most professional and demanding within the lomilomi and bodywork field.  All certified ML teachers complete several years of study, including hundreds of classroom hours with Maka’ala and other certified ML senior teachers.
